Simple Present Tense

I. Definition
1. is often used with adverb of repeated time.
Yaitu sering di gunakan atau di lakukan setiap hari (aktifitas sehai- hari)
2. usually used to say general truth.
Biasa digunakan untuk mengungkapkan fakta umum.
EX.
1. I study every day. (saya belajar setiap hari)
2. sunrise uvery morning from the east. (matahari terbit setiap pagi dari sebelah timur.)
II. Formula
Subject = Main Verb
( verb one )
III. Three Important Exeptions
1. for positive sentence, we do not normally use the auxiliary.
( untuk kalimat positif, kita tidak menggunakan auxiliary) do, don’t
2. for the third person singular ( he, she, it ) we add “ s “ to main verb, or “ es “ to the auxiliary.
( untuk orang ke tiga, ( she, he, it ) kita tambahakan “ s “ atau “ es “
untuk kata kerja pertama di auxiliary.)
3. for the verb to be, we do not use an auxiliary even for questions or negatives.
( untuk kata kerja yang menggunakan “ to be “ kita tidak perlu
menggunakan auxiliary baik pada kalimat tanya, positif, negatif. )

IV. When We Use The Simple Present Tense?
(kapan kita menggunakan “simple present tense)
1. the action is general.
(aktifitas yang umum.)
2. the action happens all the time or habitally in the past, present, and future.
(aktifitas yang berlangsung setiap waktu atau habitatnya.)
3. the action is not happening now.
(kejadian tidak terjadi sekarang.)
4. the statement always true.
(pernyataan selalu benar.)
